Position Overview

Thread Rolling Team Lead
Pay: $23.00 – $26.00 per hour (based on experience)
Shift: Split Shift 1st and 2nd
Location: Kentwood, Michigan

We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated Team Lead – Thread Rolling Operator to join our Split shift production team. This position is ideal for an experienced operator ready to take on a leadership role. The Team Lead will oversee daily production activities for the thread rolling department, ensure smooth operation of machines, and support team members in achieving production goals while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate thread rolling machines and related production equipment.

• Lead a small team of operators, providing guidance, training, and troubleshooting support.

• Monitor production schedules and ensure efficient workflow throughout the shift.

• Perform quality checks and ensure parts meet blueprint and specification requirements.

• Conduct basic machine maintenance and support daily housekeeping standards.

• Use measuring tools, computer systems, and forklifts as part of daily operations.

• Communicate effectively with the Production Manager regarding progress and any production issues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Minimum 2 years of machine operation and setup experience (thread rolling preferred).

• Prior supervisory or team lead experience in a manufacturing setting strongly preferred.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

• Skilled in using measuring tools and basic computer programs.

• Forklift operation experience or certification a plus.

• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Detail-oriented, dependable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
